Maori Star Weaving Workshop

FREE STAR WEAVING WORKSHOP Today at the University of Lethbridge, meeting room W850, 12PM - 3PM. Come along and learn how to make a Maori Star with Kirsten Lyttle.

This is part one of a photographic project called Te Whare Pora (The House of Weaving/The Weaving School), where she is photographing indigenous women around the world who she has woven with and weaving their portraits in patterns from their homelands.

Condolence Notice — Dr. Russell Leskiw

The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Russell J. Leskiw (LLD '93), who passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 at the age of 86.

Leskiw had a long and successful career in education administration that included teaching in a one-room school, being the first acting president of the University of Lethbridge, and then its dean of education. He also worked in the United States and abroad in Jamaica and Guyana.
