PUBlic Professor Series: At Home presents 5 Questions with Dr. Kent Peacock

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

Join us on Facebook OR YouTube at 7pm on Thursday, August 6, 2020!

The PUBlic Professor Series recently caught up with philosophy professor, Dr. Kent Peacock, who during the 2016/17 season, spoke to us about the human impact on the oceans, atmosphere, and life itself on this planet. In this newly recorded video, Kent is interviewed by University of Toronto grad student, Gary Graham. Gary, like Kent, is a philosopher of physics. Kent has known Gary for many years, first as his instructor, and now as his mentor and friend. Please join us as we examine creativity, the quantum, and life in a dangerous universe.

This video is part of PUBlic Professor Series: At Home, where we catch up with speakers from the past six years, as well as learn about some of our upcoming speakers. We may be at home, but we can still stay connected through our shared love of lifelong learning.

Watch Kent’s original talk, "Alberta in the Anthropocene" (previously recorded in front of a live audience on Feb 16, 2017).

We are very excited to make the PUBlic Professor Series available to everyone in the comfort of their own homes. We encourage everyone to have fun with this, prepare some appetizers, pour themselves a beverage of their choice and tune into PUBlic Professor Series: At Home.
