University of Lethbridge celebrating fall graduates with week of online Convocation activities

The University of Lethbridge is excited to present a week of online activities celebrating the Fall 2021 graduating class.

Convocation has once again been forced online this fall and much like previous celebrations, Fall 2021 Convocation will applaud the excellence and recognize the resilience of this outstanding group of graduates.

A total of 297 graduates will be honoured throughout the week (Oct. 25-29), beginning with a social media campaign celebrating the arrival and opening of their individual convocation boxes. Inside the box, graduates will find a cap and tassel, their diploma, a commemorative program, an alumni pin, an Indigenous stole for Indigenous students, and honour cords for those who are graduating with distinction or great distinction. Students are encouraged to share their box opening experience, don their caps and take photos or videos of themselves and post it online using #ulethgrad2021 and #ulethalumni.

A special performance of O’Canada kicks off the week, with the convocation video premiering on the University’s social channels. Graduating student features, community well wishes and more will all be featured throughout the week on the University’s Facebook (@uLethbridge.ca), Instagram (ulethbridge), and Twitter (@uLethbridge) accounts.

As in our previous online celebrations, this fall’s convocating students are invited to attend any in-person ceremony the University may hold over the next three years.
