The Alberta RNA Research and Training Institute presents Dr. Michael Stingl from the Department of Philosophy. His talk is titled "Ethical Arguments:  Are They Aimed at Truth?" The ARRTI Speaker Series is open to the public and was established to bring leading researchers to the University of Lethbridge for lectures on a broad range of topics relating to RNA research. Our Use of Geometry to Make Architecture and Human Settlements

Adrian Cooke is an artist/sculptor with a record of both solo and group exhibitions across Canada. After graduating with honours from the Alberta College of Art in Calgary, Alberta, he pursued post-diploma studies at the New York Studio School in New York City and earned his BFA from the Alberta College of Art and Design in. He has also participated in summer sessions at the Banff Centre, Alberta and Emma Lake, Saskatchewan.

Riva Symko is an art historian, writer, curator, and (former) arts administrator living in Edmonton, Alberta.  Her most recent research has been focused the creative practice and theoretical discourse of appropriation in relation to its effects on some of our long-standing institutions, such as copyright – particularly in light of the proliferation of digital reproduction over the past thirty years. Her more general areas of expertise include critical theory, and modern and contemporary art/visual culture.

Towards a Train of Curatorial Thought: The past and future projects by curator, Lindsey Sharman

Outlining several projects both completed and ongoing Lindsey Sharman from the University of Calgary will trace common threads that run through her work. She will present how artworks and artists included in past exhibitions continually inform the way she creates exhibitions going forward in an attempt to work with the static nature of exhibitions.
