ART NOW - Julie Duschenes Speaks January 17th, 2018 at Noon in the Recital Hall

Through composition, colour, value and the physicality of paint, I work towards tension; to see without foreknowledge, to construct anew what is in front of me, to hold my seeing in the a priori.

Content lives in the process of seeing and, therefore, in the process of art-making.

Julie Duschenes received her BFA from NSCAD in 1975, and her MFA from UBC in 1981.  She is currently engaged in an ongoing art practice.
