Starting July 6, the University Library is pleased to provide lending resources from select collections and the Faculty of Education’s Curriculum Laboratory for Lethbridge-and-area members of the University Community (academic staff, staff, and students).

Materials that you can request and book are books (Main and Curriculum Laboratory Collections) and audio visual materials (Blu-rays/DVDs and CDs) respectively. Requests may take 1 to 2 business days to process.

Starting July 6, the hours of operation for the Library's Online Assistance Service will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

Though live chat services will not be available on weekends, email accounts will be monitored.

With Alberta’s state of public health emergency ending on June 15, the University’s Emergency Operations Committee (EOC) has shifted to preparing for a phased relaunch.

Relaunch
Reflecting this shift in focus, the committee’s name will change to the Relaunch Coordination Committee (RCC) and two new co-chairs have been appointed to lead the process — TJ Hanson, associate vice-president (Facilities), and Chris Mattatall, associate dean (Education).

Anderson Hall will remain open until Wednesday, August 26 to provide access for students who need Wi-Fi, IT equipment and resources, software and the Library. The available rooms include a computer lab (AH147), a study room (AH116) and an equipment room (AH175) to sign out and return laptops on loan.

Starting on Monday, June 22, operating hours at Anderson Hall will be Monday to Friday from 12 to 4:30 p.m.

Anyone who has already applied or is planning to apply for access to campus for critical or time-sensitive research, teaching preparation, to support summer or fall 2020 program completion, or for ongoing staff access and has not yet taken the required training, the new Campus Access Safety Training is available at https://go.uleth.ca/covid19-oncampus-training.

Alberta entered Stage 2 of its relaunch strategy on June 12, 2020. While provincial guidelines now allow for use of sport and recreation spaces, the province’s Guidance for Post-Secondary Institutions continues to direct universities to limit in-person attendance on campus as much as possible.

We know you are eager to learn which of your courses and academic experiences will have an in-person component; your patience throughout this process is gratefully appreciated.

We have carefully considered which courses will be delivered with face-to-face experiential learning activities in the Fall 2020 term and which courses cannot be offered at this time. You can find the interim list online in the Fall 2020 Timetable Update.

During the intersession period between Summer Sessions I and II (June 20 to July 5), the hours of the University Library’s online assistance service will be 12 to 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday. The service will not be available on the following days:
