This online concert features a performance of original works and arrangements by the Italian guitar virtuoso Mauro Giuliani. The music is a snapshot into the exciting musical world of early nineteenth-century Vienna.

Biographies

Austin Culler is a graduate of guitar and music theory from the University of British Columbia. There, he studied the classical guitar under Daniel Bolshoy and Alec Pearson. He has performed for the Vancouver Guitar Society and the Calgary ProArts Society, and can be found playing anything from solo recitals to restaurant music. Currently, he resides in Lethbridge, Alberta where he is pursuing his Master of Music under the tutelage of Iliana Matos.

Eva Toncheva obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance jointly from the University of Lethbridge and the University of British Columbia in 2018. Ms. Toncheva is an active orchestral and freelance performer and teacher in Calgary’s rich musical community. She is currently serving as concertmaster of the Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra and regularly performs with the Symphony of the Kootenays, Kamloops Symphony Orchestra and other organisations throughout Southern Alberta and BC.
