The Last Supper (La última cena) (Cuba, Tomás Gutiérrez Alea, 1976)
A pious but clueless plantation owner in 18th-century colonial Cuba decides to bring religion to his slaves by inviting twelve of them to stage Leonardo da Vinci’s Biblical Last Supper. What he initially deems a successful evening transforms into something quite different, as the slaves take the discussion in unexpected directions and stage an uprising on Good Friday.
