Monsieur Hulot is perplexed by modern society as he wanders around a high-tech Paris. A near wordless comedy that explores the baffling complexity of our societal construct through visually poetic staging and design.
The New Media Film Series is dedicated to showcasing a selection of films that have contributed to our understanding of cinema’s achievements, and signal directions for its future. Initiated and sponsored by the Department of New Media, various scholars from the University of Lethbridge will introduce and screen their choices for films that advance the art form. Please join us twice a month as we explore together the parameters of various masterful cinematic accomplishments. Sponsored by the University of Lethbridge's Department of New Media and the Lethbridge Public Library.
For the first half of this year’s season, please join us in celebrating the University of Lethbridge’s first 50 years, as we screen great films from 1967 – the University’s inaugural year!
