Exploration Expo is a day of FREE hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations and presentations, encouraging people of all ages to create, inquire and discover alongside U of L researchers.
Do you have a sense of discovery? Are you curious about the world around you? Would you like to talk to some of the world’s leading research scientists and participate in hands-on activities? Are you looking for a great day out, free of charge? If so, Exploration Expo is the place to be.
The University of Lethbridge presents its 3rd annual Exploration Expo, an interactive community outreach event, on Saturday, May 28, 2016 in the uHall Atrium, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Exploration Expo is back with a bang and we are pleased to announce that the always “explosive” Chem Guys will be our finale on the main stage. They are back for another year and will deliver an experience that is sure to keep you on your toes! This year you can come and program your own robot, try out a pair of 3D goggles, learn about how the heart works, create your own work of art, and interact with THUGS (The Historical Undergrad Society), to name just a few activities. We’ll start the day off with a giant word find, with prizes for the first 20 finishers – your kids won’t want to miss out on their chance to win a week at one of Destination Exploration’s Science and Technology camps!
Lethbridge is a city where ideas flourish and where collaboration is celebrated. Exploration Expo is designed for families, offering activities that will appeal to all ages, from pre-school children to seniors. The event is designed to encourage conversation between all ages by stimulating people’s minds and passions through a variety of interactive experiences and demonstrations. We invite you to explore connections between the sciences and the arts within your southern Alberta community and discover the activities taking place at the U of L.
