Art NOW talk featuring Jill Stanton & Kennedy Chinn
Noon | September 25, 2026
University Recital Hall
Free, all are welcome to attend

The talk highlights their recent murals at the Lethbridge Regional Park ‘n’ Ride Transit Terminal, and the Lethbridge Public Art mentorship program. In partnership with Jill Stanton, Kennedy Chinn’s presentation focusses on her emerging career and process as an artist. As a University of Lethbridge student herself, she'll talk about getting involved, making the most out of opportunities, as well as what she has learned throughout the Lethbridge Public Art Mentorship process and her experience so far.

Kennedy Chinn is a multi-disciplinary artist located in Lethbridge, Alberta. While working towards a B.A. in Art at the University of Lethbridge, she has cultivated a strong passion for learning and storytelling. She has directed theatre, worked as a journalist under The Meliorist and completed multiple mural, photographic, and creative writing projects in recent years. With a jack-of-all-trades mentality, she is enthusiastic to contribute wherever she can to achieve creative goals regardless of scale. Her love for learning and problem solving drives a desire for roles where she can cultivate this passion with others. She will happily tell you all about her interests—just clear your schedule for a few hours.

Jill Stanton is an artist based in Edmonton, Alberta. With over a decade of experience, she has completed more than 70 murals of varying scale and complexity for private, public, and municipal clients across North America. Her work is rooted in site-responsive, narrative-driven approaches that reflect the character of the communities and built environments in which they exist. Influenced by comics and graphic novels, Jill’s work draws on visual storytelling and graphic forms to create accessible, engaging imagery.
