FOURtitude Piano Ensemble

Join us for an exciting noon hour concert featuring FOURtitude, a piano ensemble with four magnificent pianists: Cheryl Emery-Karapita, Carolyn Herrington, Deanna Oye and Brad Parker.

FOURtitude is an ensemble of Canadian pianists based in southern Alberta. They share a passion for collaborating and exploring music that they would not be able to perform on their own, including operatic and orchestral arrangements and new compositions for multiple hands on one or two pianos (and sometimes more!). The ensemble members invite audiences to have fun with them as they exponentially expand the sonic possibilities of the piano and negotiate the athletic and contortionist choreography necessary to share the keyboard. As dedicated performer-educators, FOURtitude aspire to bring their enthusiasm for ensemble music making to their students and communities! They are also founding faculty members of Lethbridge Piano Intensive (LPI), a memorable summer music program for teens, juniors, adults and teacher auditors held each summer at the University of Lethbridge.
