Music at Noon concerts series presents
Sherry Steele, soprano & Carolyn Herrington, piano

Join us for a captivating noon hour concert featuring soprano Sherry Steele and pianist Carolyn Herrington as they share a recital program that explores the many shades of love through timeless and contemporary works.

 

Originally from London Ontario, Sherry Steele is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. She has performed with orchestras and in musical theatre throughout Canada, and toured internationally as a featured singer in Riverdance – The Show. Sherry also performed with the Broadway company of Riverdance, at the Gershwin Theatre for more than a year. 

Sherry has been teaching piano and voice for more than thirty years, most recently at the Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University, and currently at the University of Alberta. She is also an adjudicator, conductor (Cantilon KinderSingers), and arts administrator (General Manager of Cantilon Choirs), as well as maintaining a home studio with aspiring musicians of all ages!

Dr. Carolyn Herrington is a pianist based in Lethbridge, Alberta. Carolyn has taught studio piano, collaborative piano, vocal repertoire, chamber music and other classes at the University of Lethbridge and Western University, and piano at the University of Lethbridge Conservatory of Music. Carolyn holds a Master of Music degree in Collaborative Piano Performance from Western University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Collaborative Piano from the University of Michigan. Her former teachers include Martin Katz and John Hess. Drawing on her extensive experience with art song, opera, and diction of several languages, Carolyn also works as a freelance vocal coach.
