September 23 | 12:15 PM | University Recital Hall
Free admission, everyone welcome

Music at Noon returns! Join us for the first concert of the semester as tenor Steven Morton (BMus '08) performs a captivating program of opera and musical theatre. This recital includes repertoire from university days, en travesti in opera, dream roles and go-to audition songs.

Comfortable in both operas and musicals as well as in comedic or dramatic roles, Steven Morton is recognized as a “virtuoso solo performer” (Calgary Herald) with a “unique” and mellifluous" lyric tenor voice (Winnipeg Free Press). His stage craft and musical prowess has been developed through numerous roles on and off the stage in addition to choral work, including three years as the director of Fresh Blend a cappella.

Steven currently performs as a church soloist, teaches privately, and can be seen on stage with a variety of theatre companies in Calgary. His critically acclaimed, award-winning one-person show, "Drag Me to the Opera," has toured to nine cities in five provinces across Canada, racking up over 75 performances.
