Su Ying Strang (she/her) is a cultural worker and artist based in Sikohkotoki on the traditional territories of the Siksikaitsitapi. She obtained her BFA from the Alberta College of Art + Design (now Alberta University of the Arts) and completed Banff Centre’s Cultural Leadership Program (2017) and the Rozsa Arts Management Program (2016). Strang is the Executive Director of the Southern Alberta Art Gallery Maansiksikaitsitapiitsinikssin, and previously served as Director of The New Gallery in Calgary, AB. Strang's work in the arts is informed by an artist-centred and community-driven ethos—prioritizing thoughtful stewardship of artistic practices and accessibility to programming for audiences.
