This concert will feature the ULethbridge's piano professors teaming up to perform French composer, Francis Poulenc’s, dramatic Sonata for Two Pianos, as well as two familiar tangos arranged for piano duet.

Dr. Deanna Oye
Pianist Deanna Oye is Associate Professor and Studio Coordinator in the Department of Music, University of Lethbridge, where she teaches Studio Piano and developed the Collaborative Piano/Guitar course series. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music where she studied with Dr. Jean Barr, and has given solo and collaborative performances throughout Canada, the U.S., Scotland, Germany, and Japan, with broadcasts on CBC Radio Two and National Public Radio in the U.S. Deanna is active as an adjudicator, master class clinician and is frequently invited to give career talks to aspiring musicians. She is also passionate about helping her students make connections between music and their other passions and mentoring them to find their own unique niche in the music world.

Dr. Brad Parker
Canadian pianist, Brad Parker, has performed extensively as a soloist and collaborative pianist in Canada, the US, France, Italy, and Haiti.  During his 2025-2026 Study Leave, he performed across Canada, the US, and France, showcasing works by Canadian composers, including Alberta composers Georg Boenn, Mary Alice Conrad, Lavinia Kell Parker, and Sonny Ray Day Rider.

Dr. Parker is on the music faculty at the University of Lethbridge, and previously taught at Charleston Southern University and Erskine College in South Carolina.  His passion for musical instruction led him to volunteer for several summers at the North Haiti Music Camp.

Brad completed a Masters and DMA in Piano Performance at the Eastman School of Music, with further graduate studies at the Paris Conservatory.  He studied at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario where he earned a Bachelor of Music with Distinction.  His principal teachers include Rebecca Penneys, Dr. Heather Dawn Taves, and Jean Koerner.
