Equity Talks - SNAC+

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

The Support Network for Academics of Colour Plus (SNAC+) will be hosting four events during the Fall 2022 term at the University of Lethbridge. Open to anyone interested in matters related to members of racialized and marginalized communities and their allies, these events present opportunities to discuss and foster efforts related to equity, inclusion and diversity at ULethbridge and beyond. Students, faculties and members of the public are all invited to attend these virtual events at the URL or QR code on the poster.

The first event on September 23 is an open discussion on SNAC+ initiatives and feedback. The second event, on October 14, will be a presentation on the results of ULethbridge's diversity survey and will feature the Executive Director of EDI, Martha Mathurin-Moe. On November 18, Dr. Glenda Bonifacio will discuss equity and international graduate education. The fourth and final event will be held on December 9 where Dr. Caroline Hodes will present on an upcoming book, Racism in Southern Alberta and Anti-Racist Activism for Change. All of these events will be held virtually on Zoom from noon until 1 p.m., MDT, on the aforementioned dates.
