The University of Lethbridge will host a student-lead Earth Day Symposium on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It will be held in the UCA Atrium from 2pm to 5pm. The event includes a number of diverse presentations from faculty members and community organizations. The keynote speaker, Dr. Philip Bonnaventure, assistant professor of Geography at uLethbridge, will start off the presentations with a discussion on permafrost and climate change. A variety of booths will be set up during the event including presentations from students, uLethbridge services, and community partners such as Purple Carrot and Lethbridge Sustainable Living. There will also be an opportunity to decorate your own earth sugar cookie and refreshments will be provided.
The event is open to all students, staff, faculty, and community members.
