Dagmar Dahle is a visual artist and writer who lives and works in Lethbridge, Alberta. She has been a faculty member in the Department of Art at the University of Lethbridge since 1997.

Dagmar will speak about completed and ongoing projects and processes from the past 25 years. Her work encompasses painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, writing and bookmaking. She has explored themes related to ecological crises, artistic identity, and social/cultural histories; often framed through the lens of autobiography, felt experience and memory.

“Engagement in process and a curiosity about the act of making are primary drivers for my practice. In art - as in life - one never really knows what will happen next, or where we will land. Embracing this simple but sometimes troubling truth can be difficult, but it makes studio practice infinitely full, rich, vital, and perpetually fascinating.” ~ Dagmar Dahle
