About the artist

Born in Mexico City in 1984, she grew up studying in an active-learning school that nurtured her connection to diverse artistic disciplines. She studied Visual Arts at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), while also exploring fashion design and participating in a multidisciplinary seminar with internationally renowned artists.

In her twenties, she began teaching, discovering education as a space for curiosity, critical thought, and artistic expression beyond commercial frameworks. Alongside her teaching practice, she developed a handmade clothing brand that remains her primary creative outlet, bringing together design, craft, and personal expression.

In 2015, she opened a cooperative design store that brings together independent artists, designers, and producers to support Mexico City’s creative community. Her work across visual arts, fashion, education, and independent design reflects a multidisciplinary approach rooted in creative exploration, collaboration, and hands-on practice. She continues to develop her handmade clothing brand and run the store while teaching at UNAM, where she draws on her diverse artistic experience to encourage students to explore art from multiple perspectives.
