Process and design are the common threads within the work of Gunther Kaun Architects. Through a rigorous and responsive design process a simplicity emerges than provides value above all else. A design solution unique and relevant to each project is the goal in which the firm strives to achieve. Through this process the value of the idea becomes far greater than the value of the individual pieces.

After collaborating for several years on vast array of projects as key members of a local award-winning architecture practice, Anita Gunther and Dalton Kaun co-founded Gunther Kaun Architects in early 2019. They built a practice based on common values, passion for design and the desire to question the status quo. They believe design brings an opportunity to rethink our everyday by giving innovation and function at the forefront of every solution.

While they push boundaries in conventional ways of thinking, they are grounded by their roots in agriculture and by their understanding of place and perspective.

Having both been raised in agriculture, they believe in a business built from the ground up. The success of every project is dependent on the process and the steps taken throughout.
