2024 CSHS Professor Bill Stolte Student Paper Award and 2024 CSHS Professor Ric Soulis Student Paper Award

Two student paper awards are awarded at the annual CWRA Conference. The prize for the best student paper and presentation is the CSHS Professor Bill Stolte Student Paper Award and is awarded at $1,500. The prize for the second best student paper and presentation is the CSHS Professor Ric Soulis Student Paper Award and is valued at $1,000. The criteria and application process for both awards are the same and students only need to submit application to be eligible for either award.

Criteria:

  • The student must be the first author and presenter of an accepted oral or poster presentation at the CWRA National Conference (it is recommended that the student’s research/academic supervisor also be listed as an author).
  • The student must submit a 2-3 page extended abstract (single spaced, including text, figures, tables, and references) with no more than two figures by the deadline.
  • The student must be enrolled full-time at a postsecondary or graduate program at the time the application is submitted.
  • The student must be fully registered for CWRA’s 2024 National Conference
  •  Judging is based on both written and presentation components of the student’s work.
  • In case of two abstract submissions by a full-time student, only one submission will be considered for the student paper award.
