Condolence Notice — Professor Emeritus Mark Sandilands

The University of Lethbridge extends its heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Professor Emeritus Mark Sandilands, who passed away on Aug. 20.

Born and raised in Edmonton, Sandilands studied at the University of Alberta, obtaining degrees at the bachelor, master and doctorate levels. Sandilands enjoyed a long career at the U of L, joining the Department of Psychology in 1968. He taught in the department until his retirement in 2000 and was employed as a sessional lecturer from September, 2000 until April, 2001.

AUPE negotiations update

The University of Lethbridge Board of Governors has been informed by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE), Local 053, which represents non-academic support staff at the University of Lethbridge, that it has submitted an application for mediation to come to an agreement on a new contract. The current AUPE Agreement expired June 30, 2017.

Please join us in the 1st Choice Savings Centre for Sport & Wellness in the atrium outside the athletics office for the dedication of the Wilma G. Winter Hall.
