Congratulations to all students who shared their work at WDCAG 2023!

The University of Lethbridge Department of Geography & Environment was well represented at the 64th Annual Meeting of the Western Division of the Canadian Association of Geographers in Abbotsford BC on March 10 and 11, 2023. This year's theme was "Planning for Resilience and Climate Change," though presentations and posters covered a range of topics. Eleven U of L students (six undergraduate and five graduate) shared their work and networked with students and faculty from universities across BC and Alberta.

Condolence Notice — Professor Emeritus Dr. Peter Letkemann

The University extends its sincere sympathy to the family, friends and former colleagues of Dr. Peter Letkemann, who passed away on Sunday, March 26 at the age of 87.

Letkemann was a professor of sociology who joined the University of Lethbridge on July 1, 1968.

The Letkemann family invites friends and family to an informal gathering in celebration of Peter’s life, at the Galt Museum in Lethbridge on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. A short program will begin around 2:30 p.m.

Library’s Easter Weekend Hours: April 7 to 10

The Library’s Easter Weekend hours will be as follows:

  • Friday, April 7: CLOSED [Good Friday]
  • Saturday and Sunday, April 8 to 9: 1 to 5 p.m.
  • Monday, April 10: CLOSED [Easter Monday]

The Library’s 24-hour Study Space will be available at all times.
