Condolence Notice — Ginny Goulet

The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ginny Goulet of Monarch, a U of L senator who passed away earlier this week.

A vibrant and highly committed senator and dedicated volunteer, her loss will be keenly felt. At the U of L, she chaired the Outreach and Chancellor Nomination committees. Goulet was also active in the community and served as the run director for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure and served as a co-ordinator for the Relay for Life.

Lot E north west entrance road closure

On Tuesday August 25/15, the north west entrance to parking lot E will be closed between 7:00am until Wednesday August 26 at 7:00am to install a raised crosswalk. During this time lot E and G can be accessed by the Aperture drive lot E south entrance, or the north west entrance to lot F. Signage will be provided.

Library Intersession Hours | August 26 to September 8

During the intersession period between the summer and fall semesters (August 26 – September 8), the Library’s hours are as follows:

  •  Weekdays: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  •  Weekends: CLOSED
  •  Monday, September 7: CLOSED (Labour Day)

Restricted Access and Noise - UHall/UCA Loading Dock and Breezeway - August 24th and 25th

Essential maintenance work requires unrestricted access to the UCA loading dock and UHall Breezeway Ramp at ALL times. Noise may affect occupants on the west side of University Hall, particularly in blocks C and D.

Library Level 9 North Reopened

Level 9 North of the Library has reopened following the installation of a new compact shelving array.

With the installation of the new compact shelving, Main Collection call numbers QH 500 through QV were relocated to level 9—consolidating the sciences on a single floor.

Main Collection call numbers R through Z remain on level 10.

Carpeting, desktop computer installations, and signage updates are still underway, but the collection is accessible.
