STEM Club

STEM Club offers participants a chance to experience amazing hands-on activities and experiments in a fun learning environment.

Are you in grades 6 to 8 and have a free Wednesday afternoon? Join us for exciting and fun, hands-on science activities and experiments. This club will be youth driven, with topics chosen by participants.

Grades 6 – 8

Wednesdays, October 4, 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8, 22, 29, 2017, 2:45 – 4:30 pm

C3 Club (Comics, cartoons, and culture)

Do you like to draw? Tell stories? Be creative? Join our new C3 Club! This club focuses on comics, cartoons, and culture. Create your own stories and movies with emotion and personality, while making new friends and learning new skills! 

Grades 5 – 8

Codergirl

Codergirl will introduce participants to computer science, technology, digital literacy and citizenship in a safe and friendly environment. Women’s contribution to electronics, computer engineering, and technology will be highlighted. Club participants will help direct the focus of club topics and direct their own learning fun!

Tech Maker Club

In Tech Maker club, students will build, design, create, program and DIY with all sorts of technology. We will delve into electronics, robotics, 3D printing with a focus on using and learning practical skills. Contribution of past innovators to electronics, computer engineering, and technology will be highlighted, along with the importance of gender parity in STEM.
