CRC Candidate Research Presentation: "Understanding the past, planning for the future: Biological and paleolimnological approaches for freshwater conservation"

Tier 2 Canadian Research Chair (Aquatic Environments) Candidate, Andrew Medeiros, will be presenting his Research Presentation entitled, "Understanding the past, planning for the future: Biological and paleolimnological approaches for freshwater conservation" on Wednesday, November 29th from 8:30-10:00am in D632. This presentation is open to all, but may be of particular interest to those in Biology, Geography, or research related to aquatic environments.

Condolence Notice — August (Gus) Boersma

The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of August (Gus) Boersma, who passed away on Oct. 14. in Penticton, British Columbia.

Originally from Holland, he immigrated to Port Cartier, Quebec in 1960, where he met his wife Sigrid. The family moved to Fernie, B.C. in 1968, where Boersma became in involved in local clubs and was elected as a councillor and mayor. In addition, he served two terms as a U of L senator beginning in 1981.
