As an institution inclusive of faculty, staff and students from around the world, continuing violence in the Middle East is affecting many members of our community. These events are emotionally and mentally challengingand we want to ensure you are aware of the supports and resources that are available to assist you during these times.
For students seeking support, counselling services are available to provide emotional and mental health support. You can schedule an appointment by visiting https://www.ulethbridge.ca/counselling.
Further, international students can access specific supports, including advising, through ULethbridge’s international office. https://www.ulethbridge.ca/international/content/international-student-services
Eligible employees can access support through the University’s Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) managed by Homewood Health. Homewood Health may be contacted 24 hours a day, seven days a week by phoning 1-800-663-1142. All calls are completely confidential.
Our thoughts are with the civilians impacted by these events in the Middle East, as well as members of our community that are affected by these unfolding events.
