Opportunity for Adults 65 or Older to Participate in Research

Dr. Pope, a health promotion researcher from the University of Lethbridge, is now recruiting participants for a study titled MOVE MORE, SIT LESS. 

The study is designed for adults 65 years or older who are able to stand independently or with an aid, read English fluently, and willing to participate in a study that will take place over a 13- or 21-week timeframe. 

Participants in the study will: 

  • Gain a stronger understanding of how to change their habits to move more throughout the day.
  • Receive four informative messages that provide tips and strategies to get them up and moving more.
  • Wear an activity tracking device.
  • Receive a detailed summary of their activity pattern at the end of the study.
  • Have the chance to receive $40 in $10 increments throughout the study.
