EndNote 20 now available for U of L users

This notice is from the archives of The Notice Board. Information contained in this notice was accurate at the time of publication but may no longer be so.

Have you been waiting for EndNote 20 to be available through the University's site license? If so, wait no more: current U of L users can now download the update from the Library's EndNote guide.

For EndNote X9 users or earlier, we encourage you to consider upgrading to EndNote 20, especially if you use the Sync function to back up your desktop library to an EndNote online account. This is because online accounts activated via the desktop app are set to expire 2 years after registration.

If your EndNote online account expires soon (or perhaps has already expired), you can ensure that your desktop library continues to be synced to your online library by installing EndNote 20. This will extend your online library registration by another 2 years.

You can find the expiration date of your EndNote online library by logging into your online account (at my.endnote.com) and looking under Options | Subscription

Note that the basic functionality of EndNote 20 remains the same, but the user interface looks quite changed from previous versions and some options/features have been relocated. To find out what is different, see the FAQ What's new in EndNote 20? on the Library's EndNote guide.
