The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends, instructors and fellow students of (Lindsay) Zale Smordin, who passed away on Dec. 27, 2022, at the age of 24.
Smordin, an economics major, previously studied at MacEwan University and University of Alberta before coming to ULethbridge in 2021. He served as an assistant coach/video coordinator for the Pronghorns men's basketball team in 2021/22 and previously worked on the coaching staff of the Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League.
An obituary can be found online at Arbor Memorial. The University will lower its flag in honour of Smordin on Thursday, March 9, 2023, by request of his family.
