Chinook Symposium for Chemistry & Biochemistry Winners

The Dept. of Chemistry & Biochemistry is pleased to announce the winners of the recent Chinook Symposium. The Symposium took place Sept. 26 in Markin Hall and posters were judged in four categories.

The PhD presentation was by Laura Keffer-Wilkes on "tRNA binding by a bacterial pseudouridine synthase: molecular mechanism and cellular function".
The inaugural Christopher Owen Bender award for the best Post-doc lecture was given by Dr. Purshotam Sharma on “Structural and biochemical impact of C-linked adducts within the NarI Recognition Sequence”
