ANTH 4850A - Fall 2023
The Anthropology of Change: Beyond Revolution
Jan Newberry, instructor
TR - 10:30 - 11:45

We live in paradoxical times: everything is changing, nothing is changing. Anthropology has much to say about the issue of social and cultural change. In this course, we will consider how anthropologists have described, resisted, provoked, and taken part in change. Across the semester, student will build projects around a change movement of their choice.
