The Spring 2021 semester is approaching, and we wanted to provide you with some updates about the University Library’s services and spaces.
STUDY SPACE
The Library Information Network Centre (LINC), which includes the University Library remains closed to general access. The University Library continues to work with campus stakeholders to provide access to the facility that is equitable and safe for all members of the University Community.
Please view the latest FAQ for Students page for updates on study space and other services on campus.
ONLINE LEARNING & RESEARCH RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS
Click here for a directory of online resources provided by the Library that includes, but is not limited to: live chat and research support, digital collections, interlibrary loan services, technology support, Library social media, and more.
For online assistance and research support, use our Ask Us suite of services. In addition to our traditional Ask Us services, we support Teams interactions upon request.
BORROWING
Lethbridge & Area. The University Library will continue to provide the lending of materials from select collections and the Faculty of Education’s Curriculum Laboratory for Lethbridge-and-area members of the University Community (academic staff, staff, and students). For service details and requesting instructions, click here.
DISTANCE PATRONS. The University Library provides FREE distance delivery to members of the University Community that reside farther than 90km from the radius of Lethbridge and reside in Canada. Click here for distance delivery service details.
The University Library will not be able to provide lending to community, CURBA, and The Alberta Library (TAL) patrons at this time.
RETURNS & RECALLS
If you want to return items to the library, available options include:
- Anderson Hall (AH176). Returns are being accepted in AH176 during its operational hours. If the room is closed, do not leave items outside.
- Members of The Alberta Library will accept returns if they are open to receive them. Please contact your local Alberta library for details about their services.
- You can mail them to the University Library, but that would be at a cost to you at this time, which we would prefer you avoid. If you do decide to mail them, please use registered/tracked mailing services. Our address is:
University of Lethbridge Library
4401 University Dr W
Lethbridge, AB
T1K 3M4
Loans prior to the March 17, 2020 closure will not be extended beyond January 15, 2021. We understand there may be exceptional reasons why you cannot return materials at this time though. Please contact us at gsd.library@uleth.ca for accommodations.
THE ALBERTA LIBRARY (TAL) & COPPUL CARDS
Members of the University Community can request The Alberta Library (TAL) and/or the Council of Prairie & Pacific University Libraries (COPPUL) cards.
Lethbridge and areas patrons can have their cards issued or updated in our Anderson Hall (AH176) location. Distance patron can have cards mailed to them upon request by contacting lib.illo@uleth.ca.
Please contact your local member of TAL or COPPUL to verify their level of service (i.e., facility access, lending policies, hours of operation, etc.).
