The University of Lethbridge is pleased to announce the renaming of the Canadian Centre for Behavioural Neuroscience (CCBN) building to “Community Centre for Wellbeing” (CCW) to reflect its repurposing since CCBN’s relocation into the Science Commons building.

The new name will signify the inclusive effort to bring various health care initiatives and health care partners together for the benefit of our university community and the Lethbridge community at large. This focal location will combine research initiatives in health care and health care practices available to the general public, as well as the university community.

During a pandemic, everyone is aware of how important health care and health research is and the University hopes to build on our current strength in health care research for the betterment of society.

CCW currently houses the U3T MRI Centre, as a world-class research and diagnostic imaging facility, providing southern Alberta with the most powerful magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the region.

Building maintenance will be changing the exterior signs to reflect the new name as soon as weather permits.
