Wellness Lunch & Learn - Dr. Richard Larouche -Bike Tour Across Canada

On May 9th, 2019, Richard began his bike ride across Canada from the University of Lethbridge, cycling East to St. John’s Newfoundland and finishing through BC. This 8000km trip was aimed at promoting physical activity and a means to collect funds for research on Alzheimer’s disease, which has affected several members of his family. Funds collected went to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Dr. Richard Larouche is an Assistant Professor in Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences. His research focuses on physical activity, predominantly among children and youth with a special interest in active transportation.
