WUSC Fall Bottle Drive

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

The World University Service of Canada (WUSC) Local Committee at the University of Lethbridge will be conducting a bottle drive on October 15th & 16th, and are interested in collecting empty recyclable drinking containers from your home. Please e-mail us your street address to wusc@uleth.ca.

This year, our Local Committee is focused on raising awareness about our club both on the U of L campus and within the greater community of Lethbridge. We’re working toward holding a referendum at the University which will allow us to fund the arrival of a refugee student every academic year. We were successful in bringing a student to the U of L last year, and we want to ensure that this program will be sustainable moving forward. Funding from this bottle drive will go directly into our club account, and will help us to make these goals a reality.
