Larissa Fassler (CA/FR, 1975) has lived and worked in Berlin since 1999. She obtained her BFA from Concordia University, Montreal, and an MFA from Goldsmiths’ College, University of London. In 2016 her work was exhibited in solo exhibitions at the Centre Culturel Canadien, Paris; the Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt and Galerie Jérôme Poggi, Paris. Recent group exhibitions include: the Pavillon de l’Arsenal, Paris and ArtInternational Istanbul (2015); the Kunsthalle Kiel and the Centro Cultural Universitario Tlatelolco, Mexico City (2013); the Kunstverein Kristiansand, Norway; the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf and the Tensta Konsthall, Stockholm (2010). Critical reviews and writing on her work have appeared in Canadian Art, Artforum and Artpress. Her work has been included in books such as Imagine Architecture and Beyond Architecture from Gestalten and Dirt by PennDesign and the MIT Press.

Her solo exhibition CIVIC.CENTRE. is on view at the Esker Foundation (Calgary) from September 17 – December 18.
