Alberta Prion Research Institute Information Session

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

The Alberta Prion Research Institute is seeking funding proposals for its Explorations and Research Team Programs. Guidelines, budget spreadsheets and funding declarations are online: http://prioninstitute.ca/content/programs. The deadline for both programs is Wednesday, August 31.

To help prepare funding proposals, the Prion Institute will be offering program information sessions (Lethbridge, Edmonton and Calgary) and grant crafting workshops (Edmonton and Calgary with videoconferencing available in Calgary).

The information sessions will provide you with the opportunity to learn more about the funding available and to ask questions of Prion Institute staff. The grant crafting workshops will include presentations from two researchers with experience crafting and reviewing proposals, including one member of the Prion Institute’s International Research Advisory Council. These sessions are open to principal investigators, postdocs, grad students and other lab members who might be interested in attending. An information session in Olds will take place later in the summer, likely in early July.

RSVP to any of these sessions by contacting Mikie Fong at mikie.fong@albertainnovates.ca. Inform Mikie by Friday, May 20 if you wish to join the videoconference in Calgary.
