Science at Night

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

Do you f-ing love science but don’t have anywhere to do cool science experiments? Do you get a little jealous of all the fun science activities aimed towards kids and wish you could participate too? Looking for a cheap date night option? Science at Night is the first event of its kind at the University of Lethbridge! We invite wannabe adult scientists into the lab to enjoy some hands-on science activities in a fun and friendly environment. No experience necessary! Activities will include DNA extraction from bananas, gel electrophoresis and an analysis of antioxidants from food and drinks! The night will conclude with some delicious treats and drinks (obviously not served in the lab!).

Hosted by University of Lethbridge’s Let’s Talk Science Team, we aim to inform our community on the importance of science, especially in everyday life. You may know our program from our popular community events including Spooky Science and Destination Expo. Join us on Wednesday February 17, 2016 to participate in this exciting event! Registration and event details can be found at Eventbrite.ca. Cost is $15/person, cash only. Space is limited! Located in University Hall Chemistry teaching labs E750 and E714
