Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Parking (But Were Afraid to Ask)

David is a professional parking, transportation, mobility planning, and implementation specialist. He is a Certified Administrator of Public Parking, and has occupied senior management positions within the parking and transportation industry since 1986.He was the Director of Parking and Transportation Services at the University of Western Ontario, the founding Chief Executive Officer of the Winnipeg Parking Authority, the National Director for Ascom Transport and T2 Systems, Transportation Planner with the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and has worked with MMM, BA, and Transpo Consultant Groups over several years. David has also led many local and international projects in strategic and organizational redesign, and devised and implemented technical upgrades (On and Off Street payment systems, compliance programs, facilities and services design). He has worked in educational, medical, municipal and airport environments, and has led many transformational industry Boards and task forces. 

David has received several International Awards of Excellence from the International Downtown Association, the International Parking Institute, and other organizations. In 2010 David received the Chair’s Award for Service to the Industry and was recognized as North American Parking Professional of the Year. He was also recognized with the Mayor’s Award for his contribution to the City of Winnipeg. He is a frequent speaker in parking and mobility issues in North and South America, Australia, Europe and the Middle East.
