The Religious Studies Department and the Religious Studies Interfaith Fund presents On the Seventh Day, the Creation Museum Staff Had to Work by Prof. James Linville (Faculty Member, Religious Studies, U of L).

Northern Kentucky is home to the world’s largest Creation Museum.  It celebrates as fact the Bible’s description of a literal six days of divine creation and a 6,000 year-old universe.  There is far more to the place than a simplistic attempt to  undermine secular science, however.  It is a collage of intersecting biblical and non-biblical stories, religious and political  editorials, and multi-media experiences that offer adherents the tools to create their own world of meaning,  communal identity, and purpose in life.  Join Prof. Linville for a pictorial tour of the museum and a discussion of the many stories it tells - and some stories it chooses not to.
