Overview
Research security matters across all disciplines. Identifying and managing security risks is increasingly important.
Join the Office of Research and Innovation Services for a two-hour interactive workshop designed to raise awareness of research security issues within Canada’s academic and research communities. We will explore how sensitive research, data, technology, knowledge, and materials could be misused, introduce potential risk indicators, and provide practical mitigation tools to help protect research assets, partnerships, participants, communities, and institutional reputation. The workshop will also include scenario-based discussions across a range of research contexts.
Updated annually, the workshop reflects the evolving research and national security environment and provides timely guidance for researchers across the social sciences, humanities, health, natural sciences, and engineering.

Early Career Researchers who attend at least six seminars (in person) over a year will be eligible for a seed grant of $5000 to support their research.
