Lunch & Learn: AI + Intellectual Property

Lunch & Learn: Artificial Intelligence & Intellectual Property

Artificial intelligence tools are rapidly changing how we research, write and innovate. What does that mean for your intellectual property?

Join us for an informative Lunch & Learn exploring the advantages and risks of using AI with your IP. As AI becomes more common in academic and research work, important questions arise around ownership, copyright protection, trade secrets and data rights.

Should you put your discoveries, research data or thesis into AI tools? Does asking ChatGPT about your work count as public disclosure? Can confidential documents be summarized safely? This session will help you better understand how to use AI responsibly while protecting your intellectual property.

The session will be led by IP expert Suzanne Sjovold of Anova Law Group LLP.
