The Faculty of Arts and Science and the Prentice Institute for Global Population and Economy present:

Dr. Satya Brink will give a talk entitled Senescence or Renaissance? Can Canada benefit from an ageing population?

Brink is a policy research expert with a career spanning over 30 years in a range of senior roles in the Canadian government, academia and international organizations such as the OECD. What can you do to maintain purpose during a long life? Population ageing is a global
phenomenon coinciding with rapid change in the economy, society, and climate.
Strategic choices by countries and their citizens can yield a longevity dividend. Valuing
the contributions of citizens throughout their lives offsets the effects of population
declines and takes advantage of the knowledge explosion and acceleration of
technology. Lifelong learning will enable us all to contribute to personal and national growth.
