Join us for an engaging and rejuvenating experience at our "Art Therapy and Online Wellness Check-In" event on August 13th, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. via Zoom. This event, specifically designed for graduate students, aims to foster well-being and self-care through the creative process of art therapy.
Hosted by Salma and facilitated by the talented Maya, along with our dedicated Peer Mentors, this session offers a unique opportunity to explore your creativity and reflect on your mental health. Our main activity, inspired by the renowned artist Hanoch Piven and adapted by Lucille Proulx, will guide you in creating a Piven Portrait using various materials you have at home.
Not only will you engage in a fun and therapeutic art-making process, but you'll also have the chance to connect with fellow graduate students, share your creations, and discuss themes of play, self-care, and wellness. Additionally, we will present valuable university resources, including counseling and wellness services, ensuring you have the support you need throughout your academic journey.
Don't miss this opportunity to relax, express yourself, and connect with your community. Mark your calendar and join us for an enriching and supportive event.
