Solving today's environmental challenges through community action and collaboration
The Oldman Watershed Council (OWC) is a community-based, not-for-profit group that works with everyone to find practical solutions to environmental challenges that impact us all. It takes time and effort to work collaboratively but OWC is building a new way of managing our water and land where we all do our part, work together and think long term. We believe it's worth the investment.
OWC's current projects include Engaging Recreationists which involves changing social norms and behaviour amongst backcountry off highway vehicles riders, a Film Project with the theme "we are all downstream" to tell the story of the Oldman watershed from 1800s-2060 and our Watershed Legacy Program to support stewards who are taking action to improve the health of our land and water.
Come and see how you can get involved! There are lots of opportunities for students who want to make a difference. Please visit www.oldmanwatershed.ca for more information.
