Virtual gathering to honour the victims of former Kamloops Residential School

The abhorrent discovery of the remains of 215 children at the site of a former residential school in Kamloops is a time for grieving and reflection.

To honour these children and all Indigenous children who lost their lives at residential schools throughout the country, uLethbridge invites students, faculty, staff and community members to come together at a virtual gathering to mourn and to heal.

In addition to a moment of silence, this virtual gathering will feature a prayer by an Elder and an honour song. Please consider wearing an orange shirt, if you have one, which commemorates the impact of residential schools.
