Virginia Persemapeo Bordeleau is a Quebec artist, poet and novelist of Cree origin. She has received several awards for her art and her writing. On Saturday, Sept. 17, she will present her novel The Lover, The Lake, which was a finalist for the 2021 Governor General's Literary Awards.
The French Language Centre of the University of Lethbridge is happy to celebrate reading and literacy by joining forces with the Lethbridge Public Library and sponsoring the participation of French Canadian authors in the Word On The Street Festival. The festival is located in the parking lot of the Lethbridge Public Library downtown and in front of the Bowman Art Centre (5 Ave South). It will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
