University of Lethbridge Composers Forum Presents:
Composing for Organ: Performances and Instruction

Alan Young holds a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Glasgow and a Licentiate Diploma in Piano Performance from the Royal Academy of Music, London, England. He also studied at the London Opera Centre. In England he served as assistant director of music at King's School, Worcester, and later as head of music at a high school in northern England.

Young is the organist and choirmaster at St. Augustine's Anglican Church, and is also active as an adjudicator.  He was previously the coordinator of the Music Conservatory, University of Lethbridge, and for 3 years was manager of the Lethbridge Symphony.
